Just Empty Every Pocket

Postby julie » Sat Jul 16, 2011 5:16 pm

Anybody have one besides me? (Jeep) I have always wondered why they say Just empty Every Pocket, since the Jeeps are reliable as hell, until yesterday when I ordered a new soft top for mine...WOW are they expensive! Guess I'm not getting that winch anytime soon huh? or the bigger tires and the lift kit. Makes me glad it is totally capable like it is.
Ok where do guys put all that food they eat?

Bone stock, they're the cheapest, most reliable, most off road capable vehicle you can get for your dollar. Once you start modding them reliability depends on how good of a job you do and how far you go. A 6" lift kit and 38" Super Swampers is not the way to go if you plan on doing much if any street driving. 8-)
Don't run your soft top in the winter, cold weather destroys them. Get a hard top for the cold weather months and store the soft top somewhere where it won't freeze.

As for the cute little acronym, I'll say this. I've owned mine for over 5 years now (Just paid it off in May WOO HOOO!!!). Spend at least one weekend a month in the summer beating the shit out of it and I drive it to work every day. So far I've put 80,000 miles on her and the only thing's I've put into it are tires, assorted fluids (no leaks just changed them when required), gas, oil, a rear axle seal, a steering box, and a steering shaft. Basically just normal vehicle maintenance except for the last two, and I had to side swipe a tree at 40 mph to break those haha....
