Charlie 2 Year Anniversary

No picture today, but it is coming up to two years since I found our beloved Maltipoo running down Scott Drive. December 11, 2009. He was abandoned with only a Home Depot invis fence collar, no tags, no microchip. After so many advertisements everywhere, I really think somebody just dumped him off in a good neighborhood. But keep your invisible fence collars on FIRMLY and with GOOD BATTERIES just in case.

Yay, Charlie!
He looks happy in every picture you post and he is lucky to have found you. I love getting my Charlie Updates. If it has fur, I love it...and dogs are among the most awesome of furry critters.

Poor little guy. I hate to think that they left the collar on to make sure he couldnt get back in the yard but thats what it sounds like to me. I cantstand to think about him trying get home again and again and not understanding why he keeps getting shocked for doing what the collar trained him to do in the first place. Love him lots and let him know it.

Charlie loves his new home and family very much, no worry about that. When I was trying to find his owner, the Home Depot collar had no serial number inside, unlike Invisible Fence which has numbers so you can track the owner. No Microchip either and no dog tag. He was very very clean so he had not been outside very long at all. We had ads up on Craigslist, FidoFinder, Pet Finder, inside the North High School, at High Tor Shelter. The animal control officer could not believe that no one was looking for such an adorable little guy. So, after best effort, we took him in and he is happy ever since. The day after we found him came an Ice Storm that would have had a different ending for the little fellow.

Well, you did your best. Sounds like you bent over backwards to return him to whoever he originally belonged to.
