Just arrived home a few hours ago and, as others have said here, it is a LIFE CHANGING experience. Awesome place and we had two excellent tour guides: our Rabbi from Temple Beth El in Monroe NY and the formal tour guide from Ayelet tours who was with Israeli special forces in 1973 and told the most interesting stories. SAW EVERYTHING, north and down south. Pictures will follow.

Welcome back.

I'm looking forward to some of your pictures.
I had a chance to drive up to Jerusalem one day during a Hard Rock trip/opening (Tel Aviv). I wish we had more time than that. But it was better than never having been there at all.

Will add some shortly. My daughter did the Birthright trip in 2009 and at Masada they wake up at 3am to climb the damn thing and catch the sunrise over Jordan. Took the cable car in careful view of my 2010 stent, so don't want to take any real risks there.

Uploading some pictures as I transfer and then shrink down to manageable size....
Sunset in the town that all mystical Kabbalah comes from and which Madonna has said to have visited from time to time, which has to drive everybody just nuts. God knows how the orthodox community handles her.
