Lex been thinking more about the chopper-stuff ever since his youngster decided to fly them

Helo self-dissasembles

Y'know, I know they are advanced pieces of kit, and very useful at what they do, but the only way I would EVER get into one is if it was picking me out of the ocean...

Easily maintained and reliable 4 cylinder engine, no runway required.....and according to one of the videos they estimate total cost (including the motor/drivetrain) of about $50,000.

Check out the "5000 Ft Flight Highlights" video. There's a built in ballistic parachute that deploys automatically in case of engine failure. I wish they'd fix their damn website, they had a lot of info on the safety end of things. If I remember correctly it only needs 500 ft of altitude to deploy.

^^Good point. According to the website (which is working again) it's classified as an ultralight. That would probably limit you to an altitude where nothing would hit you correct?
