For some reason the size of a fighter jet never fails to startle me. You really get a sense of scale when you can see the pilot in the cockpit. Nice pics man. The air force is going to regret cancelling production of them in favor of the F-35.

For lo-observable, they sure are noisy bastards :)

Nice shots there  Was this at a show, or just a flyby near an airbase?

The Eagle and Tom like that Myn, but they basically have to be that big to carry their monster radars. The one that always surprised me was the F-16. The Viper is pretty teeny looking up close :D but like all the good ones, looks like its going supersonic sitting still

I was in Golhofen Germany back in 2006 working an attempted murder case with CID... we were doing a foot search of a stretch of the autobahn for the weapon when a similar event happened... TWO Luftwaffe Tornado strike fighters came screeching over at about 150 feet... we were looking at them coming and watched as they flew over probably knocking down about 500 knots. Seeing them that low and in the wild like that is a sight few ever get to see... It got our minds off the search for s few seconds anyway. Oh yeah... We found the weapon too...
