Heeeere, kitty kitty kitty....lol.
Looks like a close up shot, probably a Bobcat. Basically an overgrown housecat. They top out at about 30lbs and are very skittish around people, they run like hell the minute they hear you coming. Been hunting, fishing and doing generally outdoorsy stuff my whole life and I've only see one in the wild twice. Both times they were off like a shot the minute they realized I only smelled like a deer. 8-) I wouldn't want to corner one but I certainly woudln't write off a good sinking spot just because of that footprint.

Looks more like a coyote, to me. I don't think you'd be able to see the claws on a bobcat print.

On one of my youthful outings, I got to see a (very) fresh Black Bear track fill up with water. :shock: That was what tipped me off that the critter I spooked a few minutes before wasn't a large black dog.
