Well, file this one under the heading of "why you need to recheck your figures more than once" department. When you make a balls up this big, generally , its a bad day. Could be worse, in the bad old days they would have just shot him and moved on to the next in command
I suppose for the complete trifecta of fail, he could have brought the whole thing down on top of the ship, which then would capsize and sink...

This is not a good way for a ship to start its time of service. I wonder what this ship's maiden voyage will be like. What's Chinese for "Titanic"?
