Going back to the .45, eh? Well, it's a classic for a reason... :D

I like the rail; put a light or a Laser-max and you'ld be all set. Color may be a gimmic, but it's plausable. Color get rubbed off and if it gets re-furbed they can change it then. The M-9 was "painted" as well as the M-4. Guys in OIF and OEF are occasionaly painting their firearms so this'll save any "You can't do that 'cause it'll impare the function of the weapon" issues.

I like it.

It'll probably come in a variety of colors. One of my favorites. Hits like a truck but the weight of the all steel slide/frame makes it kick like a .22.

^^LOL....someone's been watching too many movies. It takes way more than .45 auto to blow someone off their feet. That being said, anything you double tap in the center of mass will fall down and not get up again. 8-)

Castle Argghhh! has finally weighed in, and its like the 1980s again :P with the usual arguments yadda yadda yadda-ing.

.45 ACP- because it's silly to have to shoot more than once.

It looks like it's already available on the civialian market. MSRP of $1075 is a little steep but inline with the rest of Colt's offerings. One of these days I"m going to put some serious money into a 1911. I shoot my dads any chance I can get.
