I suspect a lot of people get into the industry as a second job in order to make ends meet. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the glamorous models we see have very un-glamorous other jobs that provide most (or at least a substantial portion) of their income. If you're a creative person, an artist or a performer and you can actually make a living at it, consider yourself very, very fortunate (just for the record, I don't make a living from my cartoons).

I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear some well-know names in this business can't make a living at it and also have "real" jobs.

I keep having these weird visions of famous models or performers working behind the counter at a 7-11. From what I hear, that may not be as weird as I might think!
