Star Trek Into Darkness

Ok, rule number one: NO SPOILERS.
I liked it. I liked it because the acting wasn't bad. I liked it because the special effects weren't done on a shoestring budget with an Estes model rocket and a pocket full of firecrackers. I liked it because there weren't half hour monologues full of philosophical bullshit about peace that existed just to fill in the parts where shit wasn't being blown up.
In short, I liked it because for the first time in my life I've seen two Star Trek movies back to back that didn't suck. And if that pisses off the fan base, well, fuck you guys. Especially the jag off in the badly made fake uniform that sat behind me and did nothing but bitch about how the movie sucked the entire time. YOU, my friend, need to get a life. And girlfriend that isn't ugly. Seriously I'd fuck the Duras sisters without wearing body armor before I'd touch that with a ten foot pole.

Haven't seen it yet, but I got spoiled on another board about what goes down in the film. I did like 2009 film (aside from one matter that was more the theater's fault than the film itself), so we'll see how I like Into Darkness once I've had a chance to see it for myself.

I just caught the IMAX 3D Sunday afternoon matinee and was surprised at how many people packed the theater at that hour. I enjoyed it. Hopefully we will see more in the series of comparable or even better quality than the first two.

I saw it and it was really good. Lots of actions and special effects, and some pretty fine looking women in it as well.

Just saw it at a UA 'recliner' theater. It wasn't as visually spectacular as the first, but it was worthy none the less.

I always enjoy the banter between Kirk and Spock, and this one doesn't disappoint.

That was definitely a bit of a letdown. Funny stuff but no big punch for a season finale.
