For those who are aware, the Boston Bruins are heading to the Stanley Cup finals after upsetting the fav Pittsburgh in four straight games. I don't think anyone who follows hockey saw this coming... but hot goaltending and their defence just shut down the Penguins' offensive line, including holding Sid Crosby scoreless throughout the series, no mean feat in itself.
Congrats to the Bruins on a hard earned victory so far in this play off run... Boston could certainly use the distraction of a national championship considering all that has happened to them this year...

A goalie getting hot can get you a long ways; it was a lot closer than the sweep indicates, for if you watched it, Game 3 was the tipping point; literally one shift from the entire result being 180 degrees apart, but when its double overtime and end to end, well.... 2-1 becomes 3-0 and a loss that crushing tends to be fatal. Malkin was shut out as well in the series

Original 6 final, Kane scores in 2xOT to win the series over the Kings; it was only luck that the Kings forced OT and a clean game after the Zebra assholes in their quest for PC idiocy failed to call a penalty , which DIRECTLY resulted in a Hawks goal under 4 min TG.
At the time, I was torn from kicking the ref in the face with a skate until he died, or starting a brawl in the handshake lineup. That sort of shit is why you CALL THE GODDAMNED GAME NO MATTER WHAT FRACKING PERIOD IT IS
Hawks in 5

Just to make things interesting, I'll say Bruins in six, only because the Hockey Gods seem to be with them.... any other year, I'd likely back the Hawks.

Going with my Blackhawks. After the Detroit series (being down 3-1) they seem to be more the team of destiny.

And thats that
Hawks score 2 goals in 17 seconds with about a minute left in the third period to win the Cup
Never. Ever. Seen a finish like this
I dont think they got their minds around it in Boston yet. Stunned isn't even close

It was a helluva series, I grant you. Wished it could have went seven, though... I mean, it was almost too good to end...
