Glock Torture Test

Postby kham » Tue Aug 20, 2013 5:54 pm

With Black Powder No Less
:P

Well, this has to be in the top 10 you gotta be kidding me moments, but its a test anyways. What is amazing is that it actually works, and a testimony to the ruggedness of Gaston Glock's toy. But geez.... rare cameo of John in this vid at the end ;)

LOL.....pretty much the result you'd expect. Really no danger to the shooter since black powder won't generate anywhere near the chamber pressure of smokeless. From the time it took for that round to hit the gong I'm guessing muzzle velocity couldn't have been more then 500ish feet/second.

Yeah he mentioned that it took some trial and error, since the initial loads were insufficient to even cycle the slide  So blowing up was never going to be an issue. The smoke effect through the sunlit trees was pretty though :)

I still want a blunderbuss. Either that or a reproduction Colt Dragoon those things are ultra badass. Two months worth of working weekends and a gun show tomorrow mean I just might be coming home with a new something or other haha......
