Must be great to be actually retired and have the time for toys :)

Luger P.08 The real deal, no replica here - thus why not as many shots, its a loaner and WW2 brought-home piece

Tavor the IDF's latest spacegun in 5.56

Why you only load 5 in old SA revolvers Great video demonstrating clearly why the 'John Wayne' load in an old-style Colt 45 SA is not bullshit. Same for the SW Model 3

Its Luger vs 1911A1 expected this one :D And as he says, was not engineered, or contrived but shows you clearly the difference in reliability -- John Browning all the way

At very least the Colt is easier to field strip. Not a fan of iron that requires spec tools for plain old cleaning.
I would've liked to see him shoot the Tavor lefty in the right hand configuration. Can't believe you could put your face that close to the ejection port and not get peppered lol.

He seems to like the configuration on it, but like you say be better for extended trials in lefty mode. You should see if he invite you down to drop by

The point he makes about the Luger/1911 is probably the best: the Luger is meant to be an officer's sidearm, whereas the 1911 is a battle pistol meant to be carried by just about everyone and used in combat by everyone. Consequently it is far easier to use, strip, clean, etc. It should also be remembered that by 1939 on, the standard sidearm for the german army was the Walther P38. Luger's retain the 'cool' factor though :)
