SteamOS? Pure, purpose-built gaming machines? You have piqued my interest.

Dude, if you've never experienced Steam and you're even remotely interested in PC gaming, download it. You won't be sorry. Service is free, every game under the sun from Wolfenstein 3D to the newest COD available for download at reasonable prices, and most importantly no cloud based bullshit or invasive DRM. You pay for the game, the files get installed to your HDD, and you can play them with/without an internet connection. You'll never bother buying another console or waste time arguing with some moron in Gamestop again.

Already there. My Lady Wife and I both use steam, and my daughter even got her own steam account so she could get the latest "Sims" for herself.
