Apparently C3I (Command, Control, Coordination & Intelligence) went overboard one night and nobody missed it. If they keep this up, a naval force communicating by signal flags and Morse code using searchlights will be able to react faster. Same thing on land- a runner or motorcycle messenger will be able to deliver comms and intel quicker than all this computer garbage.

I was reading an article a few years ago about a couple of guys in the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) who were studying "crude" Soviet electronics, even in their front-line jet fighters. Then they realized that all this "crude" technology was also highly resistant to damage by an EMP. Something to think about. . .
