Pardon me for bringing this up here - but for me this is the quickest and easiest way of contacting Americans.

Despite living a LONG way away, I follow the NFL (Saints 9-2, natch...). Not in microscopic detail, but I usually know what I'm watching. But in this week's results, I notice that the Vikings and the Packers tied, with each team having scored in overtime. I thought overtime was sudden-death. Has there been a rule-change that has passed me by?

it's true! after years where sudden death was the rule, we've gone back to allowing ties
the rationale was to avoid overtimes where one team would win the coin toss, get just far enough to kick a field goal and win with the other team never touching the ball
and i think it would be wonderful for the Saints to get home field advantage in the playoffs, win all their games in the Dome and go to the Superbowl--- outside in New Jersey in Feb

The Titans are still in the hunt for the last playoff spot. We have lackluster but sincere coaching, a backup quarterback, a losing record, and a patchwork O-line.

We're representing the AFC in the Superbowl until somebody proves otherwise.

That's what they get for naming their team after potatoes.

Thanks. Having read that, incidentally, I reckon it could have been said with much greater clarity and only half the words, but I'm not a lawyer.

If laws were written with perfect clarity there would be no need for lawyers.
