Turkey's doing it's pre-fryer marinating and the Ham's in the smoker. Got a bunch of friends/family bringing assorted side dishes. Food coma in t-minus 3 hours.

Happy Turkey Day to all and to all a good night.

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to everybody on the forum.
Since there are only three of us at the table this year, the Weredragon is cooking a large chicken. We did get a nice turkey on sale, and that's downstairs in the big freezer. Very quiet lazy day today, and that's just the way we wanted it.

Also, a Happy Chanukkah to all that celebrating, especially since it will not align and happen at the same time again for 79,043 years, it's worth some well wishes

Who was the first President to pardon a turkey?

Folklore says it was Truman, but Regan is the first on record to 'offically' pardon a turkey. Bush 41 was the one that made it a permanent tradition.
