Sharon Tate on Trampoline

Postby Duncan Edwards » Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:58 pm

I haven't been around much lately because I've been busier than usual. Came inside and hit the couch for a quick break today and there was a long forgotten Tony Curtis movie on, Don't Make Waves. Tony made a lot of bad movies and especially so as his matinee idol looks began to fade. This one was no exception but it has one of the most redeeming scenes in all of cinema history with Sharon Tate. She plays a surfer chick named Malibu and this is actually her, not some stunt babe, flying around on a trampoline in a bikini. I've always loved this moment and thought that just in case there is anyone out there who may not have seen it then I need to make sure you get the chance.

Of course you can't watch it without praying that Charles Manson and his pack of super psychos all burn in hell forever. Anyhow, enjoy Sharon Tate in Don't Make Waves -

It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Thanks for posting.

Although it wasn't mud...Sharon Tate did get soaked in a creek in the Dean Martin/Matt Helm movie The Wrecking Crew. If you haven't seen it, the movie is so awful that it winds up entertaining. Bruce Lee did the fight choreography, although even he couldn't make Dean Martin look convincing. Chuck Norris had his first on-screen role as one of the hoods that Dean fights. (Yep, Dean takes out Chuck Norris).

While I will always consider Nightmare Sisters the most beautiful female cast ever assembled for one movie, The Wrecking Crew ranks pretty highly. In addition to the gorgeous Sharon Tate, it also features Elke Sommer, Nancy Kwan and Tina Louise.

I think it is a shame, though, that Sharon Tate's legacy will always be tainted by her tragic demise at the hands of Charles Mason's disciples. What scum he is.

That was cool clip. She looks like she's having great fun doing it. It also makes me sad, wondering what might have been.

Thanks for sharing. Being of a (slightly) younger generation, Sharon Tate was always just a name to me.

It always worries me that creatures like Chaz Manson are out there, lurking in the shadows of society. Maybe those of us who lock our doors, turn our homes into fortresses, and don't let strangers cross the threshold aren't paranoid- just cautious. In my own home town, two young punks (brothers) tied a half-blind elderly man to a chair in his own house, and tortured him until he told them where he kept his cash. He later died in the hospital, but there wasn't enough to charge them with murder. They're both long since out of jail and roaming the streets. I know the younger one is a sociopath, and the older one is just a nasty, scary druggie. I guess we're not safe anywhere.

Sharon was murdered before I was born, but I watched a lot of 60s TV growing up. I first saw her on The Beverly Hillbillies. She had a semi-regular role as Janet Trego, one of the Commerce Bank secretaries, on the black and white episodes.
