QS Sketch Redux

I drew my very first Quicksand sketch in 2007.

Though I'm not an active, practicing artist, I like to look back at the leaps I've made in learning and improving. No back story behind this one; just another exercise. Back then I didn't understand proportions or structure; I just drew what I saw in my head. Learning the fundamentals of drawing has helped me clarify the image in my head and construct more advanced, complex drawings.

I'll probably be on another hiatus now that the burst of activity is over.

Great work! I'm guessing next comes the part where she tries using her bikini top to snag something to pull herself out with... to no avail? :D

Nice improvements over time! This is beautifully drawn. Love her pose and stance, and her proportions are very shapely and sexy. Love the thickness of her thighs... all the more for the quicksand to grab a hold of. And, the hint of muscle tone you've given her really adds to her overall sex appeal. And, I like that you have her in what appears to be thong bikini briefs... all the more of her legs to see struggling and sinking in the mire!

Great depth you have her stuck and sunk at, and I like how the quicksand stretches and mounds up around her thigh as she tries lifting her leg out. Her facial expression really makes this piece special... it seems she's just now realizing that her legs being stuck is far more than an inconvenience.

Thanks for sharing!
