Quicksand Fans

Another quick update on an old drawing. Three survivors; one pit of quicksand!

Another update on an old drawing! This time, I wanted to bring the story to life, so I've created a vignette to go with it. Enjoy!

Marie simply wanted to spend a week away from work, and instead work on her tan. She found a quiet spot at the back of the boat, untied her bikini, and fell asleep in the warm sun. Next thing she remembered was being washed up onto the golden sands of a remote island, surrounded by pieces of the now-wrecked boat, dashed violently against the reefs and rocks. Miraculously, Marie was unharmed, though she had no food, no water and not even a stitch of clothing. Her exhibitionist fantasies would have to wait. Finding her feet, she searched along the shoreline - for floating luggage, materials for a shelter perhaps. Then, she stumbled across another tourist, Lily. Lily wasn't in much better condition than Marie, but their odds of survival were better now that they had each other. After spending an hour trying to salvage for items, they decided to split up. Marie searched the open sands, and something caught her eye: a travel bag floating just off the shore.

Marie eagerly made her way towards her. Her feet felt unsteady. At first she thought it was because her fatigue, but she realised something was wrong when she couldn't move her feet. Looking down, the sand had swallowed her legs. She was up to her thighs in thick, wet, golden sand. It took a few minutes of struggling before she understood what was happening. Quicksand! She called out to Lily, hoping her fellow survivor hadn't succumbed to the same peril. The quicksand was relentless in its hold, pulling her deeper with each movement, turning into a warm, smooth slush in front of her eyes. It wouldn't have felt so bad if it was a different scenario. Suppressing her stimulation, she tried to keep as still as she could, feeling the sand ooze between her legs and cheeks. Lily appeared. She reached the trapped Marie, but just as rescue seemed imminent, the sand broke apart beneath Lily.

They were both trapped in quicksand. Marie was sinking fast. Her waist disappeared into the sucking sand, and no amount of digging helped; the sand simply filled itself before she could wriggle free. Resting for a short while, Marie found some reprieve when, with her full round breasts just above the glimmering surface, her descent stopped. She was no closer to getting out, but at least had stopped sinking...for now. She turned to Lily, who hadn't sunk as deep, but was still losing her battle with the quicksand. Then, a ray of hope appeared. Barely recognisable in her torn white uniform, the tour guide, Stephanie, appeared from the dunes. Running to the trapped pair, she stopped before she too became trapped in the unstable sand. She leaned back and freed her legs from the licking sand, sitting down and spreading her weight across the surface.

"Thank God I found you," she said, her voice still carrying the lively chirp of a tour guide. "This island is known for it's quicksand."

"How fascinating!" Lily replied, gritting her teeth as she continued to wriggle her hips. "Get us out!"

Stephanie tested the sand and cautiously reached out to Lily. Meanwhile, Marie noticed the sand move from their combined struggles. She watched as her breasts inched closer to the surface. Then, glancing out towards the sea, she gasped.

"Uh, guys?"

What had Marie seen? Was it another boat conducting a search and rescue? Or was it the incoming tide?

Nice to see how much you have improved over five years in terms of drawing style, in addition to putting an old concept to life through a story, and the element of surprise. That said, good job!
