Quicksand Fans

Ha Yoon's dreams of qualifying for the event felt like they were drifting away, just like her ball. Wanting to squeeze in one more private round before the tournament, Ha Yoon was relieved that no one was around to see the worst stroke she had ever played. Hauling her bag with her, she trudged over the fairway, across the rough and towards the trees. She had never really had to search for a ball this hard. It couldn't have gone this far out. Then she spotted it, lying in a bunker. Great, she thought, as she pulled out her sand wedge. That was at least one stroke to get back to the fairway, and one perfect stroke to get onto the green.

She stepped into the sand trap. Her shoes squelched into the wet sand. Ew, she grimaced, already stressed by her poor form and now having to deal with soggy socks. She walked over to the ball and began to measure her spacing. She looked up to see the flag, but strangely she couldn't see it from her position in the sand trap. Feeling a strange wetness around her legs, she looked down and saw that it wasn't just a sand trap. It was a QUICKSAND trap!

Sinking to her thighs, she realised that with no one around, she had to figure her own way out, or hope that it wasn't a bottomless pit. She would need more than a club to get out of this one.
