ANNIE

Postby Myrddyndewyn » Mon Jun 22, 2009 5:36 pm

 Oh,I say poor Annie...stuck ,sinking...naked.........
...one can almost hear her as she cries..." Oh please, don't let me sink in the quicksand !!!"
 Enjoy...Merlyn.../|\

...And Happy Alban Heruin......"Oh do not tell the priest of our art,for he would call it 'sin',
For we shall be out in the wood all night a'conjurin' Summer in,
We bring you news by word of mouth,
Of grain and cattle and corn,
For now the sun comes up from the South,
...By Oak,By Ash and By Thorn..."

...Bendigedig Bod Byth...Blessed Be All.........Merlyn....../|\

Bravo !! my friend , masterful work once again ;)
As the path narrows you find yourself face to face with a dark towering Shadow. A shadow composed of all your doubts and fears. And he's well armed to defend the treasure.

The background for this piece, with the scattered, leafless trees and openness, gives it a nice, desolate feeling. And the way you've given your quicksand such a nice thickness and show it mounding up around her arms and lower chest does show her to be quite stuck. Beautiful art! Thanks for sharing!

Another nice one, Merlyn.

"Sing Oak and Ash and Thorn, good sirs,
all on a Midsummer morn,
surely we sing
of no little thing
in Oak and Ash and Thorn." :)

Love that song. Best sung by a dozen or two people around a bonfire.

I see you've experimented with a somewhat different body type for your sinker than usual!

Same delightful variety of textures and beauty of form, though, and the bleak bare trees in the background are an added melodramatic touch.

Very nice.
