Shantae's magic carpet came to a halt, the purple-haired half-genie climbing off onto the desert sand. Squinting, she could just make out where the sand got a little darker, indicating that it was saturated with moisture, becoming quicksand.
"Looks like this is the place," she nodded, retrieving a water bottle from her bag. She didn't think she'd need it, though- it wasn't that hot out today. She was looking forward to a few hours of relaxation in this secluded quicksand pit, out in the sand dunes...
"Well, well, look who I found. And having the same idea as me, apparently..." The genie girl froze up at hearing that voice- it couldn't be... Slowly turning, her eyes widened in recognition at the woman floating down in front of her...
"Parace L'Sia!" Shantae gasped. "What in the world are you doing back here?! I thought you promised never to return!"
"I did," the scantily-clad alchemist nodded, "But, I have a very good reason for coming back. To be blunt, I need your help..."
"Why? So you can harm innocent people again!? Not happening!" With that, Shantae launched a fireball at her opponent, forcing her to teleport out of the way.
"So you refuse to hear me out?" Parace growled, as she summoned her four elemental gems. "So be it. Maybe you'll be more willing to talk after I've bruised you up a bit..."
"Fat chance!" Shantae retorted, as she began to belly-dance, quickly transforming into her monkey form. Parace just rolled her eyes before conjuring a wind trap on the ground, which blew the monkey into the air, the busty woman teleporting for a follow-up attack...
But Shantae reverted to normal and backflipped away from the small explosion created from Parace's fire gem. (Okay, Plan B,) she thought as she fell back to the ground. "Super Pike Ball!" she intoned, a trio of spiked balls surrounding her.
"You think that will help you?" Parace said as she simply sent her gems to knock away the Pike Balls... but this gave the genie just enough time to dance and transform again, this time taking the form of a large hulking elephant. Said elephant then charged forward with surprising speed, hitting the alchemist full-on and sending her flying away a good distance. (There, that should buy me a little time,) thought Shantae as she reverted to normal...
Only for Parace to simply teleport back to above the half-genie before invoking, "Salamander!" Shantae screamed as she was engulfed in a huge fiery explosion... when the smoke cleared, Shantae's hair was singed, and her clothes had been all but burned off, leaving her completely naked. "Oh my... that outfit doesn't offer much protection, does it?" she chuckled.
(Darn it, that's what I get for fighting in old, worn-out clothes!) Shantae thought to herself. However, she realized that Parace was too amused at the sudden loss of modesty to press her attack... (Now's my chance!) She stood straight and began dancing again, changing into a harpy. "Harpy Talon!" she cried, firing several razor-sharp feathers, her adversary screaming in surprise and pain as several tears appeared in her own clothing, as well as a little blood being drawn.
"Why you-!" Parace growled as she teleported into the sky, only to see Shantae flapping her wings to fly up after her. The alchemist used her yellow gem to synthesize a large rock to bear down on the harpy, but she easily spun out of the way, firing more feathers which shredded Parace's costume further. Gritting her teeth against the pain, the Arcana of Life used her gems to fire beams of light that finally forced Shantae downward, breaking her transformation in the process.
But by the time Parace had teleported back down to ground level, Shantae was already dancing again, this time changing into a giant spider. The alchemist simply snapped her fingers, her gems materializing a large set of four stone feet which stomped down on her opponent. "Squashed like a bug..."
"Too slow!" Shantae taunted back, having managed to skitter out of the line of fire. Before Parace could react, she'd been entangled in sticky spider silk, inhibiting her movement. "And that's just for starters! Spider Venom!" The Arcana of Life cried out in pain as she was doused in acidic venom, freeing her from the silk but dissolving her cape and what was left of her clothes, now just as naked as her counterpart.
"Damn you, genie!" Parace cried as she teleported herself behind the spider, encasing her in a large bubble, Shantae reverting to normal as she flailed about for air. The alchemist then popped the bubble, sending her opponent flying away a short distance, then following up with a large stone fist that sent Shantae skidding across the sand, eventually slowing to a stop in a face-down position, unmoving.
Panting slightly, Parace teleported over her fallen adversary, feeling her wounds healing over due to her natural regeneration. (To think this girl caught me off-guard several times over... I clearly underestimated her...) Aloud she spoke, "Now if you had just let me talk for one minute, this wouldn't have happ-"
Suddenly, Shantae's ponytail sprang up and grabbed Parace by the leg! Realizing her mistake, the alchemist tried to yank it free, only for the genie to rise up and grab her by the ankles, then flipping herself up, her legs going around the albino's neck! "OH SH-" She had no time to react as Shantae forcefully flipped her over, resulting in the alchemist slamming into the sand on her back, her neck still pinned by the half-genie's legs... trying to push herself up, Parace gasped in surprise as her hands sank into the ground instead! "Oh no, not the quicksand!"
"You lost track of where we were fighting!" Shantae proclaimed in triumph. "Now surrender, or I smother you!" She started pushing her legs deeper into the wet sand...
Parace gasped in panic as she felt the quicksand at the corners of her eyes, and threaten to flow into her mouth... "Gah! All right! All right! I surrender!" Immediately the genie stopped her downward motion, loosening her grip slightly, allowing her opponent to lift her head back up a little. "Now, will you please hear me out?!"
Shantae pondered this for a moment, before sighing. "...All right, speak your peace and get it over with," she said as she let go of Parace and turned over into a sitting position, the quicksand swiftly claiming her lower legs.
The alchemist sighed in relief as she sat up, even as her lower half sank into the quicksand, not even bothering to pull her hands back up. "I did not come here to cause trouble. Like I said, I need your help. I've been having a troublesome premonition lately..."
"Oh really? Premonition of what, exactly?" Shantae grunted, trying to ignore the feel of the soft wet sand caressing her rear end as she sank down...
"Well..." Parace began, before shivering and sighing as she felt the wet, rough moistness massaging her legs and butt. "Actually... perhaps we should have ourselves a little sand bath first... We can talk later."
The Guardian Genie was finding it hard to disagree, as she also shivered in delight from the sand's caress, sinking past her hips... "Yeah, OK... but I'm holding you to that..."
"Oh, don't you worry..." The Arcana of Life sighed as her stomach slowly vanished. "It's just... a little hard to focus... right now... haaahhh..."
"Uh-huh..." Shantae nodded as she settled to her ribcage, letting her arms sink in, her ponytail dipping into the sand. "First time I've... gone down naked..."
"Me too," Parace as she slowly squirmed in the quicksand's embrace. "It's quite the... unique experience..." She shivered again as her bare breasts came in contact with the moist surface...
Shantae didn't answer, too focused on her own nude body being massaged by the warm wet sand... she sighed in contentment as her bare bosom came to rest on the surface, her nipples hard and prominent. Looking back over at Parace, she saw the white-haired woman leaning forward slightly, pressing her ample bosom deeper into the quicksand's embrace, her nipples pressing into the surface...
The two ladies relaxed as they felt their descent slow and then stop, for the moment anyway. They sighed and moaned as they slowly undulated in their sandy entrapment, causing light ripples over the surface of the wet sand...
"By the way, Shantae..." Parace spoke up. "Just how deep have you gone in quicksand, anyway?"
"Mmmm... about neck or chin deep..." The half genie responded. "And you?"
"All the way under, of course," the alchemist chuckled. "Of course, I have a natural advantage in that I can just teleport myself out at anytime... I'm guessing you're scared of not being able to pull yourself back up if you submerge?"
"Something like that..." Shantae nodded, her eyes blinking open, only to gasp and recoil in surprise as Parace was now right in front of her! "Geez, don't DO that!"
"My apologies," the busty woman chuckled, before shuddering as she felt the quicksand begin to fill her cleavage. "Oh dear... it seems you've disturbed our equilibrium..."
"Crap, I think you're right," Shantae grunted as her bosom was now completely swallowed by the quicksand, making it harder to breathe... Then she felt her companion's arms around her, their chests now lightly pressing together.
"Don't worry, I've got you," Parace assured the genie as they sank to their shoulders. "You won't have to worry about smothering in the sands with me around..."
"Th...thanks," Shantae nodded as she lightly returned the embrace. (Boy, good thing I don't swing for the other team...)
Another brief period of silence followed, as the two slowly sank deeper into the quicksand, which swallowed and massaged their shoulders, then slowly rose up their necks... As their chins dipped into the wet sand, Shantae began to tilt her head back to keep her mouth clear, Parace soon following suit.
"Mmmmm... this is my favorite part, I think," Parace sighed in contentment. "Feeling the quicksand cradle your head like a moist pillow, before it sucks you in completely..."
"Uh-huh," Shantae gasped out, feeling the sand clog her ears, blocking off all sound, save the sand moving past itself, and her own rapid heartbeat... She took as deep a breath as she could before the sand could get into her mouth, shutting her eyes tightly before they were covered, along with her nose... As for Parace, she simply closed her eyes and lips, inhaling sharply through her nose before her face was also covered...
Now only Shantae's ponytail remained visible, slowly following it's owner down until it too vanished beneath the sand, its rocking motions slowly subsiding, leaving no trace of the two women to find...
Shantae moaned at the feeling of being completely encased in warm, wet sand, feeling a small bubble of air escape from between her lips, which briefly teased her nose on it's way to the surface... Parace L'Sia still held her in a warm, friendly embrace, the alchemist occasionally shifting her body, which caused the quicksand to gently caress them both... (Wow... no wonder she enjoys being sucked completely under...)
The half-genie then felt another air bubble escape her mouth, as her lungs started to burn... (Uh oh... I don't think I can hold it much longer...) So she reached up and gave her companion a hard pinch on the arm, hoping she got the message...
Thankfully, it seemed she did, as Shantae abruptly felt her surroundings shift, the wet sand quickly dropping off her face, allowing to gasp in some much-needed air. Releasing her embrace, the young woman fell into a sitting position as she wiped the residual quicksand from her face... When she could open her eyes again, she saw Parace in a half-sitting position on her side, having wiped her face clean as well, though a thin layer of desert quicksand covered the rest of her nude body, making for an incredibly sexy sight. Once again, Shantae was glad that she was as straight as an arrow.
"I can tell you enjoyed yourself," the Arcana of Life chuckled. "You look so cute, covered in sand like that..."
"Y-you don't say," the Guardian Genie muttered, her face going slightly red. She then coughed and cleared her throat as decided to change the subject... "So, what's this premonition you were talking about?"
"Hmm...? Oh, that," Parace grunted as she pulled herself into a straight sitting position. "Well, at first I thought it was some sort of crazy dream. I was confronted by this buff-looking skeleton with yellow eyes and dressed in pirate clothing... he said something about conquering this realm instead, so I tried to fight him... but my attacks seemed completely ineffective, and he just kept growing larger and larger... But then, the scene changed, and I saw you fighting that same skeleton, except your attacks actually seemed to hurt him..."
Shantae's eyes went wide at hearing this... (No way... it couldn't be...)
"And then, I saw another woman- a pirate- firing some large cannon which seemed to finish him off..."
"No way!" Shantae abruptly jumped to her feet. "The Pirate Master?! But I thought Risky and I finished him for good!"
"Ah, so you DO know who I'm talking about," Parace said with a solemn nod. "Perhaps this 'Pirate Master' managed to send his essence into my dimension before his body completely disintegrated... And now he is trying to reconstitute himself. This is why I came back, Shantae... I need your help, as well as this 'Risky' person."
"Well, I dunno exactly where Risky is at the moment," the genie shrugged, "but knowing her, sooner or later she's going to try to attack Scuttle Town again, so..."
"So the two of you are adversaries, then?" Parace raised an eyebrow. "Well then, maybe I can help you subdue her when she comes around next time, so we can explain the situation to her."
"...That'd be nice," Shantae allowed. "Of course, as soon as she hears the Pirate Master is back- he was her old boss, by the way- she's probably gonna be chomping at the bit to teach him another lesson." She then turned and walked over to her magic carpet, which had managed to survive the fight. "Anyway, we should go back to my house to get cleaned up... but I don't think I have any clothes that could fit you..."
"Oh, don't worry about that," Parace chuckled as she stood up. "I can easily materialize a new outfit for myself at any time. But anyway, Shantae?"
"Yeah?"
"I was thinking... once this ordeal is over with, would you perhaps mind if I came back on occasion to enjoy another mud or sand bath with you?"
"...What about your promise to never return?" the genie inquired as she got onto her magic carpet, offering a hand to her companion.
"Well, if you help me stop this Pirate Master person, I'll be in your debt..." the albino mused as she gripped Shantae's hand and stepped onto the carpet herself. "So, I'll simply promise not to conduct any more experiments in this realm. Sound fair?"
"Fair enough," the half-genie agreed. "OK, sit on your knees, and hold on tight!"
With that, the two flew off to Shantae's lighthouse...
