Nice of you to say so - though what you see as quirks are actually personality disorders. In any case, even if my writers' block was to clear itself up right now, one week would still be nowhere near enough time to write a story. It's not lack of ideas - I know the outline of at least six stories suitable for this site - but the sheer sweat-labour of getting several thousand words lined up in some sort of coherent order takes time.

We know my friend, we know...everyone just thought 'quirks' sounded so much more 'diplomatic'...

About 6 hours to go for entries to the Contest (Central Time) so if you live in the UK you had better e.mail your entry to a friend in Hawaii for posting! The voting poll will open tomorrow so don't forget to read all the entries and vote for your favorite!

I'm posting to this in order to keep all of the Halloween Quicksand Story Contest entries together so they don't get scattered throughout the Stories Forum.

No matter if I win or lose, I will still be happy.

It has been a long time since I ever entered a story competition, and I have enjoyed it too. :D

Plus there are so many good stories around here in this competition so I am just happy to be part of it.
