And with this epilogue, the epic is finally done.

I think I might do another multipart project like this sometime.

But... Right now, it's back to singular stuff.
------------------------------------------------------------
Sauda entered the throne room once she was calm enough. She already feared what the queen might do to her, and did not want to make things worse. The princess saw the queen seated atop her throne, and by her right, was her adoptive father; the Supreme Queen's 2nd-in-Command & sinister husband: The Supreme Archduke; Wolfgang Carlyle. Sauda kneeled before them both. "You wanted to see me?" Sauda asks.

"Yes," The Queen answered. "Your father tells me that your mission went awry, is this true?" She asks. Sauda's heart tensed. Yes, it was indeed true that her mission took a really bad turn, but in more ways than one. Sauda's blood boiled. The thought was enough to make her rage again. But, Sauda regained her composure, but there was still a hint of anger in her. "Yeah, it's all true." She finally spoke. "But believe me, it wasn't my fault."

Her father stroked his beard. "Yes, you've said." He says. Sauda soon stood on her feet. "That blasted 1/2 Mermaid Aquarius was at the Wonderland Marsh," She reported. "I could've gotten rid of her, but she fought back, then she tried to send me back here." Sauda went on. "You mentioned that you wound up in a world called Palus, correct?" The queen asked. "That's correct, and I would have loved to have taken it over." Sauda said.

She then lowered her head, growing tense. "I had her while there though...! A moment of truth, I could've easily killed her...!" Sauda says. "But not once, but twice it was ripped away!" Her hands found their way to her hair. "I had the power to become invincible! And in the end, I still couldn't beat her!" She exclaimed. "Then you should've done your homework!" The Queen shot, making Sauda freeze up for a small moment.

"Nothing is truly invincible." The Queen added. Her husband noted that Sauda's staff was lacking a dark crystal. "What happened to the crystal I gave you?" He asked. Sauda snarled suddenly. "That damn 1/2 Mermaid happened to it!" She exclaimed. "Bombarded it with light magic! It just wasn't fair!!" She went on. "Enough, Sauda!" Her father shouted, making her stop. The queen stood up. "Listen up, Sauda." She said.

"Nothing changes the fact that you have failed in your mission." She adds, making Sauda's heart sink. "However, even though you also threatened bystanders..." But Sauda shook her head. "Those were no mere bystanders." She said. "What was that?" The queen asked. "Aquarius was with these nomads. Many of them looked like capable fighters, too." Sauda reported. "I see." The Queen said, as she changes her tone soon enough.

"Nevertheless, you will spend a few hours in black slime. And you will be alone." She soon said. A light punishment, that was close. "I'll see myself to it..." Sauda says. "At least you can take responsibility. I admire that." Said the Queen. "Dismissed." Sauda left the throne room as the Archduke glanced at the queen. "I should've sent Maleficent to accompany her the whole time..." He said. The queen glanced over at her Archduke.

"Would that have changed anything?" She asked. The Archduke wanted to answer, but quickly looked a tad defeated as he didn't have the best answer. Except for one. "Not really..." He said. "And that's what frustrates me! Those damn little--" The queen stopped him before his rage could boil over. "Enough." She simply said. "Someday, we will have the upper hand against them all." She then says.

Sauda meanwhile, entered a room where a blob of black slime awaited, and it quickly took hold of her in black sticky tentacles that melted her outfit on contact, and one shoved itself into her mouth, while another blindfolded her in a sense. As the slime oozed over Sauda, her thoughts turned back to Aquarius, and her other 1/2 Mermaid sisters who rise up to fight. Just you wait... She thought, as the slime worked on her.

Meanwhile, in the Northern Wastelands, the nomads were packing up, and Ajax looked upon what was once there, but will be elsewhere soon. Garnet stood behind him. "It's a shame all this didn't last more than a day..." Said Ajax. "Fret not," Garnet said. "Another bounty like this will show itself." She then put a hand on Ajax's shoulder. "More importantly... You did good, my son." She goes onto say. Ajax smiled at Garnet.

"You think so, mother?" He asked. "I know so." Garnet answered. "Still... With how evil that Sauda was... Her presence could've attracted the swarm to our location..." She then says. "That certainly would've been worse for Aquarius, and us..." Ajax said. "Yes," Garnet said. "However, we did our part, and she has done hers." She went on. "And she's back home safely where she belongs." Ajax suddenly says soon after.

Garnet chuckled. "Indeed she is," She said. "As she had wanted." But Ajax pondered something. "We're always on the move though..." He said. "If she visits again, will she find us?" He asked. "Knowing her, I'm sure she will." Garnet said, confident. "Besides, she knows your aura." She then chuckles. She & Ajax soon resumed packing up the campsite until it was all prepped & the Nomads began to move out once more.

And finally, in her peaceful, quiet home on Olympus, Aquarius was butt deep in a pool of clay in a spa room located in her big ol' household. Her sister Fontanne had joined her older sister in this celebratory relaxation sink. Fontanne had heard Aquarius's story earlier. "Sister, you have no idea how worried I was about you..." Fontanne says. "Fontanne, there was no need to worry..." Said Aquarius, smiling to her sister.

"Well, yeah, but..." Fontanne says. "I was worried you'd never be able to come home... Alive..." She adds. Aquarius looked away for a moment, before turning back to Fontanne. "It's true that Sauda did come close to that..." Aquarius said. "But you know what? Fortune really smiled upon me." She then adds. Fontanne nods as she got closer to her sister, snuggling into her. "Well you listen up, big sister." Fontanne says, smirking.

"Next time, you've got to let me come with you to Palus. I want to see that world myself." She states. "For sure!" Giggled Aquarius, as the clay pulled her & Fontanne to their breasts, and settling down there. "Oh, and let me meet your boyfriend Ajax, too." Fontanne teased. Aquarius got flustered. "Hey! He's not my boyfriend!" She exclaimed. "He's a boy, and he's a friend, but he's not my boyfriend!" Fontanne giggled at this.

"Just kidding." She said. Aquarius sighed. "I'm sorry I snapped at you," She said. "But, it's true. I do like him, just not as deeply as father loves mother." "But at least you got intimate with him, yes?" Fontanne asks. "Yes." Aquarius answered. "But never going far as expected." She said. "Still, I bet he's really cute." Fontanne said. "Just wait and see." Aquarius giggled as she & Fontanne relaxed from that point onward.

Aquarius certainly had an unexpected journey. But, part of her was glad that it happened. Not only did she see a most brilliant world, she also made some wonderful new friends, and was successful in protecting them. Still, part of her wondered: What else did Palus had to offer? What other secrets did it hold? Who else lived there besides the Nomads of the Northern Wastelands? Aquarius however, did not let it linger in her head.

At least, not for long. She still kept them in her mind for another time. Because for all she cared right now: She was very proud of the heroics she had performed in Palus, and above all else: She was just very happy to be home safe & sound.
