The Great Pelos II Escape (Prologue: The Ambush)

Postby Black Clay Lord » Mon Nov 03, 2025 7:41 pm

A new multipart project is underway. This time it takes place entirely on Pelos II.

As a reminder: Pelos II belongs to Sabbie. I just like using it.

Anyway, this is the Prologue. Expect sinking in the chapters to come.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Golden Sky Dragon was in orbit in the Pelos system. Mishell & her sister Leucothia had taken the gunship out for a flight in the system to test some new features their father had installed. One of these was a highly advanced auto repair system; something that they would hopefully not need to test out. “Is the flight module up to stat?” Mishell asked Leucothia. “Yep, she’s running smoothly.” Leucothia answered. “Good.” Mishell responded, smiling.

“We’ll continue to put the ship to its paces and head for home.” But Leucothia had other ideas. “Sister, can’t we make a stay on that wonderful clay planet Pelos II, first?” She asked, almost in a whiny tone. “We have Claytopia you know.” Mishell said. “I know, but I’ve never been to Pelos II though…” Replied Leucothia. Mishell groaned. “Fine.” She said, giving into her sister’s wish. “We’ll make a trip to Pelos II, but let’s not stay for long.” She then says.

Leucothia smiled. She was happy to hear that a trip to Pelos II was on. It was certainly true, too. Leucothia has not been to this wonderous clay planet. She had heard of it but wanted to feel the clay of the planet for herself. Mishell pilots the Sky Dragon through the depths of space, checking the map of the Pelos System as she does, noting that the ship was passing the 1st planet right now. “It shouldn’t be long before we arrive at Pelos II.” Mishell says to Leucothia.

Suddenly, the alarm on the ship began to go off without warning. “Huh? The radar’s picking something up.” Mishell said. Pulling up on screen, a ship was spotted behind the sky dragon. “A ship?” Mishell pondered. “Maybe it’s just a federation gunship.” Leucothia says. “Or a cargo ship.” But Mishell inspected it closer. “No, it’s neither!” Mishell exclaimed. Then, a transmission was being picked up by the sky dragon. “Incoming transmission.” Leucothia says.

Mishell puts it through. And sure enough… She was greeted by Supreme Princesses Sauda & Maleficent. “Sauda & Maleficent?!” Mishell asked in anger. “Did you two miss us?” Sauda asked, smirking sinisterly. “As freaking if!” Leucothia snapped. “What’re you two doing here?!” She then asks. “There’s a not-so difficult question to answer.” Maleficent says. “We decided that this place will be the perfect grave for you two!” She then exclaimed proudly.

Maleficent then had the ship she & Sauda were commanding open fire on the sky dragon, and Mishell; on instinct, piloted the sky dragon out of range of their enemy’s attack. Maleficent snarled as Mishell piloted the ship onward. “You are not going to get away from us!” She proclaimed. “Stay on them, Sauda!!” She then barks. “Planning on it.” Sauda simply said, getting her & Maleficent’s gunship on the move to chase after the sky dragon. Mishell looked back.

“They’re after us!” She exclaimed. “We clearly don’t have time for this!” “But Pelos II awaits!” Leucothia exclaimed. “Damn it, sis! Forget about that planet right now and focus on losing the Supreme Princesses!” Mishell responds. Leucothia nodded and was prepared to fire back at the Supreme Princesses’ gunship, which they call the “Void Assault Skiff,” and for plenty good reason. The ships traded fire from all sides, but neither could land a hit on each other.

“Holy moly,” Leucothia says. “I just wanted to test the new flight systems today!” “Same here.” Mishell says. “Didn’t think we’d be testing that new laser minigun for enemies behind us.” Leucothia just nodded and kept the minigun in position. Maleficent, meanwhile, wasn’t having as much luck. “I ought to send this cannon back to the scrapheap from whence it came!” She snapped, trying to work it so it would aim properly at the sky dragon as it flew through.

Finally, however, Mishell spotted Pelos II up ahead. “There’s Pelos II!” She exclaimed. “We’ll lose them on that planet! Hang on tight!” Leucothia sat down and strapped in as Mishell got the gunship going, and fast, making it rocket down to Pelos II. But Maleficent got the skiff’s cannon working like it should. “Oh no you don’t,” She said. “I’m going to French fry you both!” She exclaimed. But before she could pull the triggers on the cannon and charge a shot up…

“Wait!” Sauda suddenly says. Maleficent glanced at her older sister. “I’ve got an idea. Prepare the Relentless Missile. We’ll let that planet do the killing for us.” Maleficent, filled with sadistic glee, was quick to happily obey and with the push of a button, prepared the aforementioned missile for flight, and fired it immediately afterwards of preparation. Leucothia noticed this. “They’ve fired a missile!” She exclaimed, checking the type of missile it was.

To her horror, she found out what type it was quickly. “Mishell! We got trouble!” Leucothia said. “What’s the matter?” Mishell asked. “It’s a heat seeker!” Leucothia answers. “It’s staying right on the ship’s engine exhaust!” “Well stop it then!” Mishell snapped. Leucothia manned the minigun once again and fired at the missile. But the minigun was all that reliable in trying to stop the missile. Leucothia’s opportunity to open fire was very short indeed.

The relentless missile was able to evade the line of fire Leucothia was delivering on the sky dragon, and to the horror of the ½ Mermaid sisters aboard the gunship, as Mishell tried her hardest to evade the missile, the missile struck in a good spot, exploding and dealing heavy damage to the sky dragon. “We’re hit!” Mishell cried out. “Got them!!” Maleficent proclaimed. “WARNING: Hull integrity compromised.” The sky dragon’s computer announces soon after.

“Armor damage is critical.” It soon followed up. Mishell struggled to get the sky dragon under control, but will she succeed? Can she & Leucothia survive whatever nefarious plot Sauda & Maleficent had in store for the ½ Mermaid Rocket Knight sisters? This is the story of survival, resistance, and determination in the face of what seems to be certain defeat.
