Here's something for the old timers - with Cosmic Dust, killer vines & planets full of quicksand, so many missed chances on the original Lost in Space TV show so I put this together as the scene that never happened (but we wish it did)

I always wondered what they used for the dry quicksand in that episode.

yep. thats what quicksand does. it assimilates. not sure if it improves quality of life for all speces.

most likely the typical Hollywood formula of ground cork, but Irwin Allen was a cheapskate so it may have been just sawdust
