Quicksand pic that is not, and yet is

Postby reisen55 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 3:29 pm

Here is an anomoly. This is not a manipulation at all, I have done nothing to it at all nor does it show quicksand, but to me this lady is desperately clawing her way out of something just below the bottom of the picture. Whatever it is ..... interesting is it not?

I can see it as clear as day. Down there is the dry desert quicksand that just won't let go of her legs. She has not quite realized the danger she is in yet, after all she simply has to climb up the dune to get out of it. Little does she know that any attempt to do so, will only result in dragging down loose sand, instead of pulling herself free.
Visit me at the Great Swamp, but watch your step on the way there!

She is in a giant ant lion trap! No escape, that's for sure

Hopefully she's crawling towards some food. Looks like a while since she's enjoyed three square meals a day, that's for sure.

Now that would definitely be a very believable scenario! It would explain the sand across her back since those critters do flick sand up at the prey in an attempt to knock it further into the pit.

The Ceti eel, the only surviving indigenous wildlife on Ceti Alpha V,

whose young enter the victim's ears and wrap themselves around the cerebral cortex, do look strikingly similar to the antlion larva. It seems pretty obvious that this creature was modeled after the antlion larva.
