On Saturday, September 7'th 2024, I had my second and final adventure of the year, where I had three sinking sessions, the second of which was captured on camera! The area was so deadly silent that day, that you could hear a pin drop! All free-range cattle had been rounded up, so there were none in the immediate area, although in another area I passed by while heading home, there was one lone cow left behind, mooing in the distance. I broke the footage up into 3 parts, with some slight overlap. Once again, thanks Dave, for hosting them on MPVStuff!
Enjoy!
DEADLY SWIMMING HOLE QUICKSAND!
A man heard about a "famous" private swimming hole that hardly anyone visits, and subsequently made a long hike through the bush to reach that pristine location! Click on the image to view the video, and you will see that unfortunately, he will soon find out why it is rarely visited!
KEEP GETTING SUCKED UNDER DEADLY SWIMMING HOLE QUICKSAND!
Here is what looks like an ordinary patch of stirred up mud, nothing sinister-looking about it. But, click on the image to view the video, and you will see the mud start to move, and burp up a large bubble, with a tinier one hissing to the left of it! Not swamp gas, but the escaping breath of a 6' 2" man that was sucked under the surface of the suffocating ooze! Over and over again, he manages to fight his way back to the surface, and catch his breath before the hungry quagmire sucks him back under again! Will he ever escape the doughy, batterlike, suffocating muck?
ESCAPING DEADLY SWIMMING HOLE QUICKSAND!
Once again, here is a patch of disturbed mud, that looks innocent enough. But, click on the image to view the video, and you will see the mire start to burp up a bunch of bubbles! Once again, it isn't swamp gas the sticky ooze is burping up, but the escaping breath of a 6' 2" man that has been fighting to escape the hungry batterlike quagmire, which wants to suffocate him to death deep within its doughy depths! Under the surface, he can hear his escaping breath making a "phlup, phlup, phlup" sound as the smothering mire passes that gas up to the surface above his head, something that he doesn't want to be the last thing in his life he ever hears! Perhaps this time he will succeed in freeing himself from its sucking grip once and for all!

Wow, Boggy... that was incredible! Thanks for sharing your videos! I csan't get enough of them!
Watched the first of the 3 new vids with my wife... Got to enjoy it with her to the very fullest
It was over for me not long after the three minutes and 45 second mark when you said "no one is going to be able to come to my rescue" - wife asked me how she would be able to rescue me if I was in that thick sludge... OMG!

Glad to hear that you and your wife are really enjoying my videos!
Regarding how she would be able to rescue you, if she tried just pulling you out, you would likely wind up pulling her into the mire with you! The only way she might be able to rescue you would be for her to lay on top of the mud (she might not need her entire body on the surface of the mud), with her facing the grass and holding onto it for dear life, while you crawl over top of her to safety!

Hi Boggy Man, I haven’t posted here for years, but I’ve been wondering about you for a while, “is that mad lad still going on sinking adventures”… I’m glad to return here and see the answer is YES Your sinking stories have always been amazing, and video is incredible… These adventures are all super happy to me, “the ideal state of being” I am so glad you’re still sinking and telling us about it - I wish I could have those kinds of experiences myself, perhaps one day I shall, but at least I can enjoy your authentic stories and see your enjoy some of the best bogs anywhere ✨✨✨

I am glad you enjoy it! I just come up with an "excuse" for "accidentally" falling into the bottomless quagmire, and then put the gulping goo through its paces.

It has taken years of exploring various lakes, ponds, streams, meadows and marshes around my area, and then frequent the locations that I like the best! However, I now settled on one that is the closest, and the easiest to maintain. I used to extensively make use of another one, which was at a lower elevation, and had a deeper pond (lake) for cleanup, with warmer water (called it Edwin lakes area pond, which was actually Sinclair Lake), but it was too much trouble to upkeep, because it would turn too stiff to sink in later in the summer, and was a lot of work to loosen back up in the spring. Another place, which took longer to get to because it was further away, was what I called the "Mud lake pond", where water levels had dropped one year, exposing a lake of mud, but quickly got taken over by grass, although there was patches of exposed deep mud to sink in. But, the beaver dam was built up again, and it was all flooded again, higher than its original level. There were some areas nearby that I also used to play in, but deep mud was limited. So, I decided to stick with my Crescent Road pond, which was the closest, allowing me to spend more time there. The consistency of the mud varies throughout the season, being submerged in the spring, becoming exposed and loose some time in late July or August, and getting thicker each week. So, the same bog can look like different bogs as the season progresses. In really dry years, other parts open up, with the south side having some treacherous muck, but I tend to stick with my one patch on the west side that I easily keep maintained.
