Nice job with this! A well done first try! I really liked the texture and movement of the quicksand and the bubbling sound effects. May I ask where you found that qs figure/prop?
Thanks for sharing your first effort! I look forward to hopefully seeing more in the future! :)

If you're asking where I found the girl model I used in the Animation, this is the link.

Thanks for responding. Actually, I was asking about the quicksand itself. ;)

The quicksand was made with Blender's fluid simulator, It didn't turn out the way I was expecting.

What I did to make this actual quicksand animation was I purchased a rigged 3d Ariana-like model, I made most of the forest landscape from scratch, then I used a few photographs of the infamous Shiratani Unsuikyo Forest in Yakushima, Japan (Would make a great quicksand setting) for background images. than after I rendered the whole scene, I downloaded and added the sound effects.

It's motion reminds me of "Hollywood" quicksand, with some substance floating on the surface of water. Interesting.

I converted the animation to a screensaver, you can download it here for free, as well as a remastered version of the video with more clearer quality.

Ever consider making a "feet first" version? Preferable a thick, slow-sinking pit? 8-)
