Boggy Man's Dramatic Sink Videos! Updated Aug 22'nd, 2010!

On Wednesday, August 18'th, I had my 7'th adventure of the season as described in this report. It was a nice, hot, sunny day, and I had a lot of fun in my Crescent Road pond quagmire, which was the thickest yet this year!
This time, I recorded the movies in so that I wouldn't have the 2 gig limit that the Motion JPEG files had for my camera. So, I could shoot longer videos without them getting cut off! I think that I noticed that the sound quality is also better in this mode, because for this mode, my camera uses , but it is still in mono, since there is only one microphone built-in. I set the exposure manually instead of having it automatic, and think that the picture quality was better. I also tried to make certain that I didn't wind up with the false colors and abnormal contrasts that the videos from the previous session suffered from. I did a little bit of video merging for the beginning of the first one, and think that the transition is reasonably believable, I hope. I was really happy about the bog's appearance and behavior (not to mention its feel and texture)! The third video should really appeal to peoples' darker side! You can see a hoof imprint in the edge of the bog at the bottom of the first two pictures. I was glad the cow didn't fall in!
As with the others, these are also available in 720p HD on YouTube. Remember, I want to keep these videos only within our special community, so please do not make these videos public. Enjoy!
This patch of bare, dark, muddy ground looks soooo innocent! But, just watch what happens when a lone hiker in the remote wilderness takes a wrong step onto this spot! The fun really begins, as he quickly gets stuck in thick gooey quicksand! No matter how much he tries, he can't escape, slowly sinking deeper and deeper into the quivering mire! After his long, futile struggle, the suffocating ooze eventually swallows its meal whole!
This patch of mud shows some movement. Then it starts to fart. Swamp gas? No, it is the escaping breath from a 6'2' man slowly suffocating beneath its doughy surface! But, miraculously, he manages to fight his way to the surface just as he was seconds away from fully inhaling and choking on the deadly ooze, and successfully extracts himself from its sticky grip!
You call me over, and I wind up stumbling into a patch of mud that turns out to be bottomless quicksand! You just stand there, watching me slowly get sucked down and do nothing to save me, my final breath escaping as bog farts!
This patch of mud starts to fart. Swamp gas? No! There is a full-grown man running out of air beneath the surface of the doughy ooze! But, he manages to get back to the surface, and slowly escape the sticky deathtrap!
Knowing that stepping into the voracious bog means being sucked under, a man wears swim goggles to protect his eyes from the mud, and takes along a discarded Shop-Vac hose to use to breathe through. When the gulping mire swallows him completely, the only thing keeping him alive is that breathing hose, with his exhaled breath continuously farting at the surface! Eventually, he makes it back up to the surface, and manages to work his way out of the hungry muck's grasp!
