I can't send private messages + another issue

Do I have to have like a certain amount of posts to send something?

Also, this one really isn't an issue, but:

When I made my first post here it took a few days to get it approved. I then made another post on the same topic, but it seems to have taken longer than usual to get my new post approved, why is that?

You require 5 active posts to be permitted to use the private messaging system.

Posts are manually approved by the volunteer moderator staff (which for most board activity, is just me). Sometimes I'll check the list and approve things quickly. Other times I might not have the time to do so for several days.
