Chat broken

The chat is apparently broken at the moment. When I click on it now, I just get a new window with an XML parsing error.

EDIT: Now there appears to be one person in the chat, but I still can't get in. This is the error message I get:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: chat/index.php
Line Number 220, Column 341:return text.replace(arguments.callee.regExp,this.decodeSpecialCharsCallback);},decodeSpecialCharsCallback:function(str){switch(str){case '&':return '&';case '<':return '<';case '>': return '>';case ''':return '\'';case '"':return '"';default:return str;}},inArray:function(haystack,needle){var i=haystack.length;while(i--){if(haystack[i]===needle){return true;}}

I am replying at 7:21AM, Central time in the USA. The chat appears to be working here, and from here.

No, not for me. I'm still getting that error. Using Firefox 3.0.8 here. Isn't anyone else having this problem? :?

Time: 04/22/08 - 3:45 PM CDT
Browser: Firefox 3.0.9

Result: Chat works fine for me. Maybe you need to update your browser.

I have seen a problem occur from time to time in other sites whereby a failed download (resulting in an error) becomes cached, so that subsequent downloads also fail. Try forcing a full refresh.

Indeed... try clearing your browser cache and cookies.

Seems to work for me and I'm currently using Firefox 3.0.8 and I'll test again after updating.

But, like it has been mentioned before, try either using a full refresh (Ctrl+F5) and if that doesn't work, try clearing the temporary cache, then cookies via "Clear Private Data" (Ctrl+Shift+Del) from the "Tools" drop down menu.

Clearing cookies/cache (even disabling the cache) did not help with Firefox. But I can get into the chat by using a different browser, so at least I have a way around this problem.

As a test I just installed the Firefox 3.0.9 update, logged into the forum, and then to chat. All appears to be working from here. When I get home I will try the same thing from a machine running XP-64.

What extensions are you running in Firefox? I'm wondering if you have some form of script blocker running that's keep a key piece of it from loading correctly.
