Bots as registered users?

I found this to be rather interesting....
Registered users: Baidu [Spider], Bing [Bot], DJlurker, Duncan Edwards, Google [Bot], Schlamm
Just how would a bot go about completing the registration for membership?

I suspect that big boys like that have default accounts coded into the board software, probably with IP filtering involved, to keep out fake bots.

No worries. For me, it sucks kinda often.
Especially when you're trying to find the 'hard sweaty work' gear each summer. I need a new clutch.

Bots masquerading as humans? The idea sounds completely RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! EXTERMINATE EXTERMINATE! YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED! WE ARE THE BORG! ridiculous.......
