APNG Test

Postby Aiko » Mon Nov 26, 2018 7:34 pm

Nothing to see here. Move along... :)

Well, I'm just trying to upload an APNG (Animated PNG) and see whether the forum software is OK with that.

It's like an animated GIF, only better. Not restricted to 256 colors and usually better compression. The only downside I am aware of is the current lack of support in IE / Edge.

That's really cool! 8-) I've never heard of an animated PNG before. What software did you use to do that?

I used JapngEditor (https://www.reto-hoehener.ch/japng/). It works but it's fairly old. I have yet to look at other (newer) tools that might produce better optimized results.
