When I log onto QSF I get a blocking message saying that the website is unsafe, Are there any un unusual things at the website we should be aware about?

Secure protocol is invalid since today. Admins may have to renew it.

It used to be that only sites that accepted sensitive user data (credit card info etc.) were deemed candidates for encryption. But nowadays, browsers throw a hissyfit whenever they encounter sites/pages that are not protected by SSL.
Which of course, makes a lot of money for all involved.

I suppose the case could be made that user names and passwords are sensitive. But is still feels like a scam to me.

I've had the same problem, but I found that you could access the site if you go via Fred's Quicksandland website.

I work on a computer on which -- lately -- I'm getting numerous and random lies about this. It's an older Mac (and I have no choice but to work on it) and I am spending my life clicking the link to go there anyway after being told it could be unsafe.

I will just state that I know enough about this forum to be sure it's safe.

Just watch where you step.

No, no, no,... You're supposed to say, "No need to watch where you are going out here in the swamp"

I might add that the automated renewal went through just fine - from a money grabbing point of view. Then, a week or so later, this happens.

Along the way, they got me to buy yet another cert. But I haven't been charged for that, so maybe it didn't go through. Even if it does, I will likely have a need for another one soon.
