Just a suggestion/request for the mods. Would it be possible to auto-lock posts/threads older than, say, a year? Maybe it's just me but I find it really fucking annoying to start reading through what I think is a new thread only to realize that the original post was from literally fifteeen years ago.

I'll dig around. If I can't find anything, I'll bring it up to our technical administrator.
You're not alone. The ones I find irritating/baffling are the ones asking what happened to links and so on from five or ten years ago.

I've done a little snooping around, and it appears that a coding modification is required.
I'm inclined to pass on that for the moment.
If it starts becoming an issue again, I'll set a rule for it (which I might just do anyways) and evaporate offending bumps.

While resurrecting decades-old threads can be annoying, and it is easy to see why some should be put to rest, threads a year or so old should not necessarily all be locked, since some posts to certain threads are seasonal, such as my adventures and videos threads. There was even one year I had no outings at all, skipping a year. Other threads, such as comic book postings, could also be left open in case anyone wants to add new ones to the collection. So, if it is carried out, the process of locking old threads may have to be done with certain discretion.

Very good point, IMO.

If I topic hasn't been replied to in a year, a new one could be started to take it's place.
Like I said, I'm not inclined to do anything at the moment. But IBTL has a meaning for a reason.
