Quicksand Fans

I type "q" into the navigation bar at the top of my browser's screen. It auto-populates "quicksandfans.com". I hit Enter.
The "hang on" spinny ball spins and spins. If I'm patient enough, which is rare, it will time out.
I go up and again type "q" in the navigation bar. It auto-populates "quicksandfans.com", again. I hit Enter, again.
The site loads.

I experience this on the following systems:
Apple desktop running OS 15.4 & Chrome
Apple desktop running OS 15.4 & Safari
Android Pixel 6a
A variety of Chromebooks

It's been this way for months. I just today got frustrated enough to post about it, though

This sounds like a DNS (Domain Name Service) issue, although it could be a path issue as well, among others.

For kicks, manually configure one of the devices with the (Google) DNS server addresses of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

It's possible that all of your devices ore connected through the same internet service provider, in which case you are the mercy of whatever DNS servers they are funneling you to.

(It's not I have ten years of data networking experience, but I do think I might stay at a Holiday Inn Express someday).
