One user has login problems

Postby Billie Bonce » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:22 am

One user of Quicksand Fans contacted me at deviantART. He says, he can't login here, and asks me how to contact administrators.

I tried to logout (normally I permanently logged in), and when I was logged out I also couldn't find any way to contact any of the admins here. The list of admins/mods as well as the list of all members are not visible, no admin e-mail addresses are specified.

Please either give here an e-mail address which that mentioned user may use, or contact him on deviantART http://drkrazy.deviantart.com/

Also I suggest that leaving some way for unregistered and/or not logged in persons to contact admins directly might be necessary...

You're right about the email not being accessible when not logged in. This is the first time this has been pointed out (amazingly). The FAQ is a php file, so Kookus will have to edit that to include a 'contact' entry.

The admin email address for the board is admin1@quicksandfans.com

I get plenty of mail on that (about one issue a week on average), so it seemed to be common knowledge.

Thank you very much! Surely, I've seen this email address previously, and I remembered that it's not simply admin@... , but something more sophisticated. Just couldn't find it quickly - and the guy contacted me personally, so I had to give him some answer. Now, I hope, he will know what to do :)

I have added some verbiage to the FAQ, and a line to the login form, which should help prevent this situation in the future.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
