Is there a problem with outgoing mail? I've had a message sitting in my outgoing mailbox for a week or so...

Email goes out immediately. There is no 'outbox' for that.

If you're referring to Private Messages, they sit in the 'outbox' until they are opened by the recipient (at which point they appear in 'sent').

Hey, thanks for the info! Had never picked up on that previously as most folks stay on top of their mail and things come right out of the outbox. As you can see, I'm way too used to Microsoft Outlook where outbox is a message que to outgoing mail. So outbox here simply means my mail hasn't been read yet, actually, quite a handy feature when you think about it.
