I ran across this very well descriptive section that I found quite entertaining. The book is readable in "E-book" version, but I copied the only section that would be of interest here.
The book is titled "Life Pictures from Rum's Gallery: Or, Sketches Written from Personal Knowledge of Persons who Have Been Ruined Through Liquor".................No joking. The text is suppose to describe getting trapped in quicksand as being like falling into alcoholism. Not very accurate, but I won't argue.
I attached a screen scan of the text, but I also OCR-scanned the text into a WORD file so I could change the gender of the victim to female. If that is your preference, then skip the image scan and go straight to the .RTF (Rich Text File) document. I also upped a plain text (.TXT) version if the .RTF file gives you problems.
