Hound of the Baskervilles - German film

Postby PM2K » Thu Feb 01, 2018 11:15 pm

A 1937 German version of the classic story. Different take on the mire scene. Starts around one hour, 13 minute mark...

I found this among the other links at the side? From 1972?

An escaped convict sinks at about 25:50. Not sure if there's any more?
Oh tosh! Tanya retorted, quicksand churning,
Round her knees, then thighs, then oh dear!
It got intimate with her hips and her panties,
And squished rather funnily up her rear!

There just might be another one. After the post about 1937 German version of the Baskerville movie I did a little work on Google and found this reference to a silent version from 1927. Apparently the only surviving copy was hidden for a long time and I don't think the article says if it is restorable or not, but there are some stills here that pretty strongly suggest it did have a quicksand scene. I don't think I ever heard of this one before.
