Hmmm. Probably could have pulled the title from the top of my head back in the day.

I remember it from the time though. It was a made for TV disaster movie about earthquakes or Godzilla undergoing climate change surgery or something.

Yeah, it was 10.5. Earthquake film about "The Big One!"
John Schneider was in this.

looked up the actress Kaley Cuoco & her first role was in "Quicksand - No Escape" (1992)

A film with a completely misleading title - not a single quicksand scene to be found in it unless I am very much mistaken! :x

You are correct. The movie of 2004 is a re-make of a Mickey Rooney flick of the early 50s, and of the same title. The "quicksand" is one of inescapable entanglement but has nothing whatsoever to do with any kind of mud.
