Vivarium

Postby quickman » Sat Aug 01, 2020 10:51 am

Watched this movie last night. Towards the end, the lead character played by Imogen Poots, sinks into and completely disappears into a floor that has turned into quicksand during a nightmare sequence. Doesn't last long

Here are some screenshots. You don't see her submerge, it cuts away and then you see her hands. The shot is done with the red filter to show her passing through alternate dimensions or places where other people are being kept.

Don't expect too much, either from the scene or the film. It starts with a really neat premise, builds tension pretty effectively towards a payoff that never comes, then just kind of runs down. It's not a bad film, but it's definitely an almost-good film.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.
