I'll do my best. Currently working on something interesting myself may be a few years until anything comes to fruition but if it ever does everyone here will know as far before release as I'm allowed to say

Wait so is there another quicksand scene with Ritza Brown near the beginning of this movie called The Fighting Eagle?

For the record, the protocol in this type of situation would be for her to rub her palms together very fast, generating enough heat to pop all the corn, then eat her way to safety.

Darn it. I thought it was that she masturbated furiously, turn the whole mess into creamed corn - and then swim out.
Oh well.

Actually, if that happened, it would basically be turned into something the consistency of wet quicksand, or more accurately, "quick-creamed-corn", which would still suck her under, but with the surface undulating and quivering around her as she struggled!
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

Actually, I see two other potential problems here, as well.
1. If we go with SinkThatDamsel's recommendation, she'd likely end up so ginormous that she'd never be able to heft herself out of the silo, once she's eaten all the popcorn.
2. If we go with Dave's idea, she'd likely exhaust herself and have no energy left to swim, hence she would end up drowning/suffocating herself anyway.
Sorry to be the downer here, but I see no viable means of self-extrication for this lass. Somebody better step up, quick!
How long did Tarzan watch before deciding to save Jill..?

To be honest, my suggested solution was not based on practicality. Hehe

This scene hit all the right notes for me. tension/drama and an actual sinking scene that is not in water.
