Can the QS Gods be smiling on us this year, or just another let-down coming our way? Probably the latter considering the status of quicksandphobia these days, but we can always hope. Jane is a cutie, and the jungle DOES look a bit swampy...

More than a bit too much CGI for my tastes in both trailers.
Still, not going to have a firm opinion on any film until it's actually out!
And who knows? QS is so far from gone from the fictional eye it could be making a comeback?

Coincidentally, I was at the movies just last night and saw a poster on the wall for this. That poster was the first I had even heard of this movie. My initial reaction was one of disgust and disdain for Hollywood remaking/rebooting/rehashing yet ANOTHER mediocre IP, but that was immediately superseded by the glint of hope that modern cinema may, against all odds, actually gift us with a quicksand scene.

But I quickly dismissed that hope, because I'm a pessimist. In all likelihood, we won't get any quicksand in this movie. But a man can dream.
