The casting makes me think, "This looks like it's going to be absolutely terrible," although I do love Karen Gillan. If there IS quicksand, I'd bet good money it will be Kevin in the pit for a too easy "isn't he so short?" gag.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jack Black sucked down, personally.
