More hands! :D

These really work in artwork and still photography, but I find are notoriously difficult to get right in live action. They either linger too long, or disappear too quickly. One way which works for me is if the victim grabs a branch or something, and slowly takes it down with them, like Tarzan and the Amazons where one of the sinking dudes drags down the vine with flowers.

But, I do appreciate the effort. :)

The upraised hand is actually one of the more realistic quicksand tropes. While working as a lifeguard (many years ago) I observed people in trouble do this several times, attempting to call for help when they already could not speak due to gagging on the water.
