Still wrong, there's a big difference between Low-budget and No-Budget. Low-Budget means you have enough money to buy or rent out the things or actors you need for a project. No-Budget means you have no money to spend and just use resources that are already available for you to use freely, like a phone with a decent camera to shoot video.

I am not sure what is still wrong, if you were referring to what you quoted. If I understand what you said, it was that Youtubers with no budget were making tutorial videos on this topic. I replied that what they were doing (at least in the linked video that I watched) were not no budget. First of all, using a camera that is available to you simply means that someone else paid that part of the bill. Aside from that, what I saw had people building a platform with a sort of breakaway floor and covering it with sand or gravel. That doesn't take much budget but it does take some. I'm not trying to pick at you, just reply to what you said.

In any case, I am not opposed to dry scenes. I may be wrong but I do not recall any producer saying it was impossible to do dry scenes. I do think it is very unlikely to do so and break even financially.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

About the phone I was referring about a phone someone uses including the bill. I understand that your not against the making Dry Scenes infact this same setup can be used for regular scenes as well with the Actress getting buried then pulled under. Then have a door close after they go under, that will prevent the mud or sand from spilling out.

As Fred mentioned there are some upfront hardware costs for certain. An additional technical expense was they are using some pretty nice lighting. Getting daylight balanced video lights and matching that with the daylight of the wider scene isn't as easy as it might appear. Two costs that may not be so obvious are time and extra hands. Both of those are precious to non-existent for all of the current producers that I've been around.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Well if you did this as an indoor set without the green screen, it would be easier. I actually miss a lot of the old vids with indoor sets :/

If you don't expanding on that thought, what is the appeal of scenes shot indoors?
