This may sound odd but I’m pretty sure that comic was the true origin of my stuck in mud/quicksand fetish. I was 13 and distinctly remember reading the line “As her feet touch the ground, they sink into an ooze that grips the queen of Rann like glue” over and over again.
Three years later our neighborhood group of kids found some really sticky clay cliffs by our creek and would play rescuing each other. That made it stick. Pun intended.

And thank you so much for posting it. I had been looking for that comic for decades.

Thanks,

Do you have any pictures? Sorry if this is too late...

Eden's Zero Chapter 134 has a few pages focusing on a mud planet; this is the only actual sinking pic though.

This is something I figured I'd never see. A planet where mud is its main feature.

Here’s a link to my favorite scene. Its in a Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery (53-April 1974, M, grim). Ive posted these before, but I’ve lost my files so I’m posting a link. It’s about half way down in a story titled “Tender Feelings”. http://readallcomics.com/boris-karloff- ... ystery-53/
